NEWS Presenter

Amanda began her media career after completing her Bachelor of Social Sciences Degree in Communication from the University of Fort Hare.

Before joining the SABC in 2007, she worked for various community radio stations as programme presenter, news anchor and writer. At the SABC Amanda started her news reading career at Tru FM and later moved to Channel Africa. She joined the Radio 2000 news team in September 2019.

Amanda is an award-winning news presenter. She won the coveted MTN Radio Award for Best News Bulletin Presenter in 2015. In 2019 she became a finalist in the Liberty Radio Awards: Best News Bulletin Presenter. She is a fellow of the prestigious TMP Coaching & Leadership Fellowship Program at The Poynter Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida, USA.
